intel has given a date for the new generation arrow lake desktop chip. intel CEO pat gelsinger, who took the stage at computex 2024, confirmed that arrow lake will be on sale very soon. So when is it coming? Here is the release date of the new desktop chip…
Iintel Arrow Lake desktop chip is coming this fall
First of all, let’s note that the intel arrow lake chip is for desktop computers. This new chip will include an integrated neural processing unit (NPU) and will therefore be called the core ultra series. Lunar lake, on the other hand, is designed for mobile devices. These chips are also expected to be released in the third quarter of 2024. intel plans to offer more than 80 designs with these new mobile processors. So, we can say that intel is making a storm in both desktop and mobile devices.
In his speech at computex, gelsinger stated that this period is the most important time for the PC industry in the last 25 years. With lunar lake, they want to intensify the competition against qualcomm’s snapdragon x elite processors. However, the details of intel arrow lake have not yet been fully disclosed. Other intel executives confirmed that arrow lake will be a core ultra processor and will include an integrated NPU.
Gelsinger also announced intel’s panther lake processor, which will be released in 2025. panther lake will be produced in the 18A process. This is part of intel’s strategy to produce stronger and more efficient processors by combining its production capacities and TSMC’s technologies. intel previously introduced meteor lake as the 14A chip, which included components manufactured by TSMC.
intel’s new generation processors aim to offer higher performance and efficiency with integrated NPUs and advanced manufacturing processes. intel plans to achieve this goal by collaborating with both its own production capacities and TSMC’s technologies. Let’s see if intel can increase its competitiveness in the market with powerful processors with this move.
